Blueberry and fresh mushrooms, with hints of earth. Medium-to-full body, with medium chewy tannins and a medium finish. A little austere. Second wine of Cantermerle, which made a super 2009. Best in 2015. James Suckling. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Cantemerle, Les Allees de 750ml

49% cabernet sauvignon, 38% merlot, 7% petit verdot, 6% cabernet franc. Aged for 12 months in oak, 40% new. What a nose! Clean red fruit aromas jump out of the glass. \ This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with the Cabernet dominating, looks to be the best they have ever produced, even eclipsing the 2005. Dense purple in color, with extraordinarily elegant floral notes intermixed with raspberry, black currant, cherry, and spice box, it is medium to full-bodied, not massive, but again, very seamless, with beautiful precision, sweet tannins, and an endearing fleshiness and depth of flavor that are neither heavy nor fatiguing. This wine will be relatively approachable in 3-5 years and drink well for 25-30.\

Very structured wine, with black currant fruit and dense acidity. The tannins are dark, firm, solid. This is a fine wine from Cantemerle, reveling in the richness of the vintage. Wine Enthusiast. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Cantemerle 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

"This younger sibling of a classed growth clearly shows its family ties. With generous finesse it envelopes the mouth in fruit aromas, already offering great pleasure at so young an age. Wine Makers Notes.
