Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1983 Cantemerle 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

91 points Robert Parker (Bordeaux Book, 3rd ed.): The 1983 is special, and one of the finest wines of this vintage. The color remains dark ruby/purple and the bouquet explodes from the glass with scents of ripe plums, flowers, and oak. On the palate, this generous wine is supple, concentrated, extremely long in the finish, with soft tannins. This is Cantemerle's lushest and ripest style of wine. It has aged at a glacial pace, much like two of this vintage's other stars, Chateau Margaux and Chateau Palmer. (Jan 1998)
