Chateau Cantelys Pessac Leognan 2009

Member Review by Zuiko:

This wine takes some air to open up. Moderate color, not inky, soft tannin, some cedar in the nose with plum, spice, black currant and floral notes. Medium body with a fairly long finish. An enjoyable wine but at this price point, I could beat it with a Washington state red blend or cab. My rating-- 89.

IMPRESSED BY SMITH HAUT LAFITTE'S EXCELLENT QUALITY, THE LOUS ESCHENAUER COMPANY DISTRIBUTED THE WINE ALL OVER THE WORLD STARTING IN EARLY 20TH CENTURY, DECIDING TO BUY THE ESTATE IN 1958. IN 1990, DANIEL CHATIARD FELL IN LOVE WITHE THE PROPERTY AND JOINED THE LIST OF PRESTIGIOUS OWNERS, FIRMLY INTENDING TO FURTHER ENHANCE SMITH HAUT LAFITTE'S TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE. Read less
