Chateau Canon St. Emilion 2001

Winemaker's Notes:

1er Grand Cru Classe. Velvety tannins, fleshy with sweet blackcurrant fruit and good length. Chateau Canon is often very rewarding after a few years of careful cellaring. Drink now until 2020.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

This blend of 80% merlot and 20% cab franc was luscious and tasty. I very much enjoyed it.
