A complex nose of animal, black cherry and even fart (!) aromas. Anise and black cherry across the palate. Good fruit with a smooth finish. A very good effort - slightly more rustic than the fruitier Chateau Beaumont tasted at the same time.

"A classic Bordeaux nose of licorice, cedar wood, black currants, and some tobacco leaf is followed by a medium-bodied, nicely concentrated wine with light tannin and a savory mouthfeel. Drink it over the next 7-8 years..." WA 2/09
