The older editions of the Féret Guide include this commentary: " We can say that it is one of the oldest in the region and that its products have made a great contribution over the years to the reputation of the wines of the Médoc, both in France and abroad. Monsieur de Cambon, the owner at the time of the French Revolution, gave the estate its name. The revolutionaries confiscated his property, but he did get it back a few years later. In 1996, the estate was taken over by Annick and Jean-Pierre Marie. They have made a large number of investments to renovate it and provide it with the very best equipment. For several years now, the property has been producing wines whose quality has earned the praises of professionals and lovers of great crus. The wines are now sold by the leading traders on the Bordeaux marketplace. Read less

Etwas starker Oxidationsgeschmack, wird aber durchs Alter sicher korrigiert. Nettes Preis-/Genussverhältnis.

This Cru Bourgeois (Haut-Medoc) is dark red - almost tenturier-like in depth. On the nose there is blackberry, cassis and cedar bark with a hint of menthol. En bouche, the red fruit is forward with good mouth-feel (round) and grip. Tannin is well in evidence but not overpowering making this wine very enjoyable now. Medium long finish. Drink now through 2019. 90 points.

Bottled aired about 2 hrs. Nose of hints of smoke, mineral, floral, red fruit. In the mouth chewy savory slightly smoky woody earth, mineral, and fruit in roughly equal proportion and somewhat tannic. Dry, Body medium minus, acid medium minus, tannin medium plus. Tasty and ok to drink now with good decanting. 50% merlot, 30% cab sauv, 18% cab franc, 2% petit verdot.

It combined the best of old and new world flavors. I'm not sure if it's just the 2005's or what, but I loved this wine, and thought it could pass as a much more expensive variety. Very velvety.

Pretty aromas of currant and berries, with a mineral undertone. Medium-bodied, with firm tannins and a fruity finish. Nice wood under it all. Well-crafted young red. Could be best ever from here Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Cambon la Pelouse 750ml

Die Charakteristik des Weines ist stark duch den Merlot geprägt. Umwerfendes, reifes Beerenbouquet, fein buttrige Note. Samtiger, charmanter Gaumen, angerundete Gerbstoffe. Gekochte Kirschen im Finale.

Good full ruby. Inky aromas of crushed black fruits, violet and mint. Lush, broad and creamy, in a softer, modern style. A fairly lush, large-scaled wine, finishing with dusty, building tannins. This is actually rather atypical for a wine from this c... Stephen Tanzer. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2007 Cambon la Pelouse 750ml
