RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

I suspect this 2001 will shut down (as most young Calon-Seacute;gurs do), although it appears more forward and evolved than the huge, backward, but totally dormant 2000. The plum/ruby-colored 2001 reveals aromas of damp earth, cranberries, cherries, herbs, and forest floor. While lighter than its older sibling, it is medium-bodied, elegant, and should emerge from its post-bottling sleep in 4ndash;5 years, and drink well for 14ndash;15. Think of it as a lighter-weight 1988 (one of the stars of the vintage).
Good deep red-ruby color. Black cherry, leather, olive and a hint of crystallized berries; fresher on the nose than the rsquo;97. Sweet, firmly structured and very nicely balanced, with strong but integrated acidity and very good flavor definition. Tannins are ripe and fine.

I am going to miss the old style of Calon-Seacute;gur. Gone are the wines like the great but funky 1982, full of animal odors and cedar against a backdrop of fruit. In its place is a modern wine boasting black fruit, lavender, and oak; very good, and well worth buying. But, alas, it is not really the Calon or old.
Greatest Calon-Seacute;gur ever made. An absolutely amazing red, this third-growth Bordeaux is remarkable for its layers of berry, violets and perfume. Itrsquo;s full-bodied and very velvety on the palate, with masses of character and an ultralong finish. Best after 2004.
Very pretty spicy aromas, with currant and blackberry. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a delicate velvety texture. Balanced and easy, with a medium finish. 80 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 18 percent Merlot and 2 percent Petit Verdot. This is much... Wine Spectator.
