Château Brisson Red Bordeaux Blend Côtes de Castillon 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

Chateau Brisson is situated in Cotes de Castillon, some 40 miles east of Bordeaux on the right bank of the Dordogne. Here you can find a similar 'terroir' to those Chateaux from the better known appellation Saint Emillion. Chateau Brisson 2003 is a dark crimson red colour showing just a bit of tawny around the rim. The nose reveals aromas of confected blackcurrants, mocha and herbaceous notes. The palate is quite weighty with a mouth filling texture, lots of tannin and a good strong acidity. Flavours of ripe blackberry, violets and soft spice with a finish that is pleasant and persistent. Brisson will drink well for at least another four to five years.
