Château Branaire Ducru Mc 4ème Grand Cru 1995

Winemaker's Notes:

Open bouquet of very ripe fruit with notes of leather. Very supple on the palate; the tannins have developed very nicely. Worth drinking now.

Branaire has done exceptionally well in both the 1994 and 1995 vintages. It is hard to chose a favorite between these two classically rendered, elegant yet authoritatively flavored wines. The 1995 may be potentially superior since it was made from ri... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1995 Branaire-Ducru 750ml

Good medium red-ruby color. Less expressive but lively aromas of blue fruits and brown spices plus a hint of confiture Not as ripe or fleshy as the 96 but the dark berry and licorice flavors are currently rather tightly wrapped and unforthcoming. Finishes with substantial dusty (oak?) tannins that betray a slight astringency. Perhaps still in shock from the bottling. Stephen Tanzers IWC.
