Chateau Bonnet Red Bordeaux 2010

External Review by WineExpress.com:

Famous Bordeaux vintner, Andre Lurton has guided Chateau Bonnet since the 1950's and in that time he has taken careful measures to improve the property both in the vineyards and in the winery. As a result Chateau Bonnet is world renowned for producing fine quality wines that are excellent values. Lurton’s Chateau Bonnet is located in the Entre-Deux-Mers region between the Bordeaux rivers. The soil is clay and limestone as in most of Bordeaux so the red wine vineyards are 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. The grapes are fermented slowly over three weeks time in stainless steel tanks where maximum extraction of flavor and color occurs. Aging in barrel follows and then the wine is lightly fined with egg whites before bottling. From the outstanding 2010 vintage this wine shows true Bordeaux character and distinctly supple tannins. An all-time classic!

André Lurton:
A respect for the typicity of our terroir whilst at the same time always searching for a modernity of style. A respect for the past and the accumulated experience of the region but equally the same respect for our current consumers and their expectations in terms of wine style and quality. We firmly believe in developing technological innovations that allow us to move towards the twin goals of quality and price accessibility.
