André Lurton:
A respect for the typicity of our terroir whilst at the same time always searching for a modernity of style. A respect for the past and the accumulated experience of the region but equally the same respect for our current consumers and their expectations in terms of wine style and quality. We firmly believe in developing technological innovations that allow us to move towards the twin goals of quality and price accessibility.

This is a soft, smooth blend of Bordeaux white grapes that has just a kick of herbaceousness. Citrus and gooseberry flavors are boosted by ripe apple fruits. Ready to drink.

Why does nobody think about dry white Bordeaux? Blended from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillion, it is a delicious white wine bargain. And Chateau Bonnet is one of the best examples. Made in the Entre-deux-Mers region by Andre Lurton, whose family seems to own or manage half of Bordeaux, it is full of flavors of orange and apricot with a touch of grapefruit to provide the freshness. There is a light toast character to round it off.

Aromas of white peach, lime and lemon lead to a medium body, with bright acidity and a long, fresh finish. A solid value in white Bordeaux.

The vast 300-acre estate of Chandacirc;teau Bonnet in the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers produces a deliciously reliable, good value wine every year. This brand-new 2008 shows some lively yellow fruits as well as a strong citrus element. It has vibrantly fresh, pure fruit and is ready to drink now, but can age for a year. Screwcap.

This is always fresh and clean. Light green apple and celery character. Medium- to light-bodied, with fresh acidity and a crisp finish. Drink now.

One of the most familiar Entre-deux-Mers chateaus, and certainly the largest, this is the home of master vigneron André Lurton. With its fresh, grapefruit flavors and aromas of white flowers and hedgerows, this is a great summer wine.
