This 60-40 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon is given extended maceration during fermentation, and includes a measure of pressed wine, in accordance with consulting enologist Michel Rolland’s method, and then sees 18 months of aging in new and used barrels. The nose is unmistakable Bordeaux, with earthy elements already in evidence along with plum and red berry flavors.
