Château Belle-Vue Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend Haut-Médoc 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

A really good example of the benefits of investment in smaller, well-locatedpetits châteaux. This one lies near Ch. Giscours, and benefits from theMédoc's rolling gravel terrain as well as a more modern approach in thewinery. There's plenty of firm fruit here, balanced with new oak which, whileevident, combines very well to make a satisfying, fuller-bodied style ofBordeaux for drinking 2009-2011. (Tom Cave, BBR Cellar Plan Manager)

Chateau Bellevue:
The estate was founded in 1996 when the owner of Chateau Gironnville,Remy Fouin, took 11 hectares of vineyard to create a new estate. It is located in Macau, about 10 miles north of the City of Bordeaux close to Chateau Gisours of Margaux and the Gironde estuary. It was bought by a Vincent Mulliez in 2004 and he invested a great deal of time,,effort and money before his untimely death at the age of 44 in 2010.It is now owned and run by his widow Isabelle

This sensational sleeper of the vintage is far better than the more famous "Bellevue" from St.-Emilion that proved so disappointing in 2006. This blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and a whopping 20% Petit Verdot is a lovely, round, pure, d... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2006 Belle Vue 750ml
