Chateau Bel-Air Cotes du Bourg Bordeaux France 2005
Decanted for about an hour before serving. This wine was a deep red in the glass. Dark fruit and wood on the nose with a little bit of earth as well. The palate matched the nose with dark fruit flavors and subtle traces of wood. The best part about this wine was the structure. The wine had a medium body and moderate acidity but with a bold tannic backbone that gave the wine exceptional dryness that I really enjoyed. The finish smoothed out a bit and the wine maintained balance throughout.
