The name designation speaks volumes- a Bordeaux Superieur that is truly superior in many ways. From the classic 2009 vintage this blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc shows the care and attention given the the estate vineyard on the right bank of the Garonne river. Manual leaf removal and careful green harvests are carried out to insure the best quality and ripeness are achieved at this family-owned property. They benefit from being on south-facing hillsides with good soils. The wine show supple bright fruit; blackberry, cassis and cherry along with hints of anise and spice. A superior wine at a remarkable price.
A rich, almost opulent wine, tempered with tannins. Flavors of dark black figs, herbs and wood come together harmoniously. It has a tense edge of tannin that promises aging.
