Food Pairings for Chateau Bel Air Bordeaux Blend France Bordeaux Cotes de Bourg
All throughout this winter, I've been on quite the Bordeaux kick. There is something incredibly comforting about a few glasses of Bordeaux with a tasty, hearty roast on a cold winter's night. So I've made it a point this winter to sample a variety of different affordable Bordeaux's ($15.00 and under). This one came highly recommended and I had read excellent reviews. It was definitely enjoyable- rich in texture, with a definite "old world" flavor to it- but it was by no means the best I have had. I had a couple of glasses of it with a grilled New York Strip last weekend and it was quite good, but not amazing. I let it breathe for a couple of days, and had a glass again. Still very good, though not exceptional. For the price (I paid $8.49) it's well worth it, but there are even better Bordeaux's out there in the same price bracket.
