The first few sips weren't that great, but once the edgy tannins and high alcohol part away on the palette, it reveals an inner delicacy and complexity, with mild plum, mineral, and grasses.
Slightly hot nose of berries and pepper. Palate is fruit forward but slightly rough around the edges. Tastes of blackberries. Harsh tannins. I'd call it a solid wine but nothing special.
