Chateau Baudron Montagne Saint Emilion 1995

Member Review by duncan 906:

I bought this bottle of wine from the website www.bidforwine.co.uk/auctions/show/32249.It is from Montagne St Emilion, the largest of the four 'satellite'St Emilion appellations; the area around the village of Montagne about four miles north of St.Emilion itself.I have not been able to find out a lot about Chateau Baudron but the seller told me it was 80% merlot and the rest cabernet franc and that it was aged in oak barrels.I drank my bottle the other evening with my supper of lamb stew and I thought it a great wine. The tannins were soft and mellow and there was a lot of blackcurrant and plum type fruits. It certainly did not show its age
