Château Angélus Red Bordeaux Blend St. Émilion Grand Cru 1999

Winemaker's Notes:

1999 Angélus is a beautiful deep, dark, crimson colour. The nose is very expressive, with chocolate, plum, and morello cherry overtones. The initial impression on the palate is round and velvety. This a thick wine with tannin that is becoming silkier all the time, as well as just the right hint of oak. This vintage is developing in a spectacular way. Age until: 2015

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

...This wine offers scents of blackberries, licorice, tapenade, and figs...it is ripe, pure, and moderately tannic. Drink it over the next 10-15 years. Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1999 Angelus 750ml
