- Deep garnet color. Great nose of plums, cherries and red berries. Medium bodied but grippy; powerful and concentrated. Flavors of ripe black-cherries, coffee and tar. Already well integrated tannins. Wonderful finish on red fruits and a smooth texture. Who said 1999 was a poor vintage? To drink at any time. Still young, will be at its best in 2002/2003 and will drink well until 2007.
