This is a wonderful bottle of wine, It has everything that a cabernet lover would want, deep grape aroma, earthy, upon taste, intense grape flavor, rich with chocolate, black cherry, cassis, tobacco, currant, rich smooth tannins and a finish that needs no encore.

On first blush, this is a big, honkinrsquo; Cabernet, all fruit, a simple blast made to please a crowd. But on closer inspection, therersquo;s harmony to the wine, cool and temperate, not at all overripe, with a structure that will benefit from development over time.

Chocolate, coffee and nutmeg aromas are accented with a hint of cassis. Rich black cherry and plum flavors blend with spice and black pepper on the palate. The soft, elegant tannin structure leads to a lingering finish.

In an outstanding vintage, even the basic wines from good producers can be dazzling. The combination of price and availability on this one is too good to pass up. Itrsquo;s a seductive Cabernet, polished and plump in texture, with ripe blueberry, plum and currant flavors wrapped together with spicy oak notes. Drink it through 2005.

A straight-ahead, no-frills effort that shows herb-tinged cassis and cherry fruit and tight, dry tannins. A hint of tobacco and green tea enlivens the finish. This wine surely will prove cellar-worthy; it may not reach its peak for at least a decade.
