Chassagne Montrachet Morgeot Bernard Moreau 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2012 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot has a lightly perfumed nose of dandelion and yellow plum, the mineral component surfacing with encouragement. The palate offers a dab of dried apricot and grapefruit on the entry. This is crisp and edgy thanks to a judicious touch of sour lemon enlivening the finish. Excellent." WA 06/14 "There is very good freshness and vibrancy to the broad-shouldered and notably ripe middle weight plus flavors that retain a good sense of underlying tension that adds lift to the very rich and lingering finish. This is a big but balanced wine that is more refined than the typical example of Morgeot. Worth considering." BH 06/14
