"This New Zealand Pinot Gris is full of lime and kiwi flavors with a hint of honeyed banana. The kiss of sweetness is balanced by a crisp

The Comely Bank Vineyard is situated in Marlborough's Wairau Valley and covers 90 acres of land of old river bed soils that lie in a local rain shadow. The conditions found here contribute strongly to the intense and quintessentially `Marlborough` characters that the fruit from this vineyard displays. The vineyard was planted in 2000 predominatey in Sauvignon Blanc with a small amount of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The 2008 Chasing Venus Pinot Gris fruit comes from a small 26-acre portion of the vineyard known as the Road Block.
