Good rich rose (cab franc?) with great red fruits. Fairly full bodied for a rose, some decent tannins, just a slightly hot finish.

Shows the fresh herb, tobacco and black cherry profile of the vintage, with an undertow of briar and tobacco. The long, sappy finish lets fresh acidity carry the day. This should age nicely, as therersquo;s nice dark fruit in reserve. Best from 2010 through 2029.
Charvinrsquo;s 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape has turned out to be one of the vintagersquo;s top efforts. Lovely sweet notes of glove leather, roasted meats, spice box, ground pepper, kirsch, and raspberries are present in this deep, full-bodied 2006. More evolved than the 2007, with copious concentration, elegance, and a Burgundy grand cru-like complexity as well as freshness, it should be enjoyed over the next 12ndash;15+ years.
Exotic and appealing. Elegant and refined, yet ripe and flavorful, this balanced Châteauneuf delivers good acidity along with the roasted game, dry prune, black cherry, wild mushroom and dark chocolate flavors. Ripe and sweet-tasting, with silky tannins. Drink now through 2005.
The 1994 exhibits that telltale sweet, fragrant, black- raspberry/kirsch scented nose, sweet, expansive, chewy fruit, superb purity, an excellent marriage of power and elegance, and a soft, round, generous finish. This is a well-balanced, symmetrical Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Anticipated maturity: now-2008.
Medium red. Intense aromas of jammy raspberry and wild strawberry, fresh rose, candied violet and magnolia. A remarkably lush, creamy wine, with vibrant, expressive red berry and subtle garrigue flavors that expand all the way through the very long finish. A compelling wine that offers great purity and balance and very suave tannins.

Full ruby red. Medium-bodied. Highly extracted. Moderately tannic. Leather, minerals, tar. Deep, brooding aromas follow through on the palate, with a sense of austerity and structure characterized by a persistent mineral note on the finish. A solid traditional style.
