What to Expect

Riesling is a chameleon of a grape, able to produce world class wines that range from bone dry to unctuously sweet. Germany is most closely associated with Riesling, where all styles are made and the range of flavors runs the gamut from steely and crisp with crunchy mineral-driven flavors to fresh lime, apple and peach flavored expressions - even rich honied, candied fruit tones in the great dessert wines.

What's New in Booze - 8.9 out of 10
The nose is bursting with Asian pear, green apples and spring aromas. Apricot, pear, lime, and a pleasant minerality keep this off-dry wine at the perfect level of subtle sweetness. Washington has become one of the most important wine producing states in the United States, and development continues to grow rapidly. In 1969, when California was exploding as a wine producer, Washington had only two wineries, but by 2000 that number had passed 100. This particular Washington State summer wine goes great with sushi or just a relaxing afternoon on the patio.

This Riesling is a fantastic offering coming from WA. It has a floral nose of apple to start and opens up nicely. The wine itself is on the dryer side with a nice crisp acidity which makes it very easy and refreshing to drink. I find it pairs nicely with soft cheeses but also light fish and even pork. enjoy.

This wine tastes like a sauvingnon blanc. It has a bubbly feel to it on the start of the sip, then finishes with nice crisp acid with off dry citrus. Very nice.

Subtle honey and lilac notes on the nose and effervescent on the palette with notes of citrus, pear and minerality. There is a very nice finish of apricot and golden apple that gentle fades away. Crisp, dry and acidic Riesling with a low amount of residual sugar. This was a great match for Singapore rice noodles and really helped cut the heat on a Sichuan spicy beef and capsicum dish.
