Buttery, Slightly oaked, but Shaw does the process of using oak chips in say a large teabag, doesnt actually use oak barrels. This one is better then the american chardonnay they have.

I wanted to try this notoriously cheap wine after reading a profile of the company's owner in The New Yorker magazine. Floral, fruity aroma. Full, tart flavor is not dry or subtle. Hints of melon, pineapple, and soap. Plenty of tang and a little warmth. Well worth the few bucks I spent on it.
This was a good Chardonnay there is no doubt about it. But, I have had many that blow it out of the water. That said, it seemed to be a little bit more than crisp with its acidity. Had apple and citrus in the taste with a reasonable finish.
I heard about "2 Buck Chuck" while listening to a radio program a couple of years ago and had a friend ship a case of the Chardonnay to me out of curiosity. It was really the nicest Chardonnay I have tasted and the price was unbelievable.
Drinkable, decent with food, I plan on drinking it during the week with dinner for foods with some spice that call for white wine, like chicken curry or spicy thai dishes. I won't drink it by itself though, not interesting enough on its own.
