Editorial Reviews for Charles Krug Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley
Soft on the nose with gently rising aromas of creamy pineapple laced with a hints of green pepper and canned peach juice all topped with musky floral notes and a hint of lemongrass. Soft and creamy in the mouth, this is a bit fat and lacks any sense of detail delivering sweet pineapple, peach and vaguely grapefruit tinged flavors to the palate with a brief canned citrus juice toned finish. There’s an odd hint of caramel that runs through this. Chunky and rustic. 82pts

Had with Drunken Goat Cheese from Spain. Very good!
crisp and fantastic citrus flavors.
Grapefruit and pears. Definitely a New Zealand influence. As another reviewer said, this goes great with grilled chicken. Mine was marinated in teriyaki sauce. Perfect pairing.
Tasted at UNLVino 4/10/10
Expect floral, peach flavors in this light wine with mild minerality and acidity. Pairs with grilled chicken with herbs and a hot mustard sauce, or cedar planked salmon with honey mustard.
Great white wine with a bit of bite.

Lime, kiwi and gooseberry aromas. Bright and crisp flavors, with citrus and subtle mineral notes. A silky, full palate wine-but never heavy.
Our Sauvignon Blanc, from the first fruit harvested during our 150th anniversary year, evokes aromas of grapefruit, lime and a hint of tropical passion fruit. Tantalizing flavors of orange blossom and tangy citrus commingle with a sprightly acidity that provides a refreshing finish. As always, night harvests guarantee fruit freshness in our signature style wine. - WineryVarietal: 100% Sauvignon BlancAppellation: St. Helena, Napa ValleyFermentation: Stainless SteelBottled: December 2011Alcohol: 13.9%pH: 3.30TA: 0.68 g/100mlRS: 0.25 g/100ml
Warm and round with ripe citrus flavors of lemon and tangelo, this has a green pungency in the finish. For roast halibut with a citrusy salsa.
Our signature style Sauvignon Blanc opens with an eclectic array of fresh aromas giving the wine a beautiful bouquet of honeydew, peach skin, lemon grass, and pear. Flavors of stone fruit and apricot balance seamlessly for a vibrant texture and crisp acidity. Just a hint of minerality rounds out the finish of this refreshing wine. - Winery
Smoke, melon, and spice characteristics emerge from this fruity, medium-bodied, crisp Sauvignon. Although a bit short in the finish, this tasty 2002 will provide pleasure over the next year.
A citrus bowl, with grapefruit, lemon and orange peel flavors that weave together through a tangy, concentrated finish. Drink now.
Scents of lemongrass, litchi and lime create layers of exotic spice and fruit in this rich sauvignon. The fruit is brisk and fresh, balancing its warm, round texture. This should develop over the coming year, to serve Vietnamese green curry chicken or fish.
