Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

This is a wonderful, not-too-heavy blended red wine with lush flavor and tannins that are not overpowering. We highly recommend this wine if you can find it.

Winemaker's Notes:

Our vineyard designate Red Wine shows the benefits of blending by achieving the complexity expected in a melange of fruit. The Voltz Vineyard is located in the Yountville Appellation, and this vintage draws on the third year of harvest since our replanting efforts began in 1999. A true elegance shows in this wine from its fruity aromas to fine fruit forward flavors and soft, supple tannins.
