Charles & Charles Rose 2009
Member Review by dynowine:
Rich and full with a bit of complexity imparted by the sirah. Nose reminds me of jolly rancher candies with guava, passionfruit, and watermelon flavors. Attacks with rich ripe slightly sweet wet rich fruit - citrus and tropical and watermelon - plus herbs, pepper. Heavy mouthfeel for a rose. Off-dry or sweeter. Acid bite. Finishes with mineral and earth. Good value for the money.

Dry, crisp and vibrant, with pomegranate and raspberry fruit that's nicely balanced with lively acidity and a welcome hint of mineral. Syrah.

A light and fragrant rosé, delivering a pomegranate note to add charm to the berry and citrus flavors, lingering delicately. Syrah.

Pale pink. Delicate aromas of strawberry, pink grapefruit and honeysuckle. Light-bodied, brisk citrus and strawberry flavors are sweetened by a note of spun sugar and given grip by a faint herbal note. Dry, vibrant and pure, with good finishing cut and persistence. This wine is a collaboration of Charles Smith of K Vintners and Charles Bieler, who owns a number of wineries in southern France.
