External Reviews for Charbay Blood Orange Vodka
What you taste are 100% real Blood Oranges - they're free of the artificial flavors, essences and so-called "natural flavors" found in most flavored spirits today.
Light honey/orange color, crystal clear, no sediment whatsoever. On swirling, it leaves a thin clear coat on the inside of the glass with long thin legs. Wonderful bright appearance, lovely natural color. First Impression: Alcohol and grain, plump smell of grain, heavy redolent smell of blood orange - like you are peeling a fresh one. No trace of off notes or the smell of rubbing alcohol that many vodkas suffer from. A carefully done distillation. Taste: Plump grain body, Orange oil, and herbal, alkali, warm finish. Blood orange peel seems to yield some bitter notes to the orange oil taste. Slightly oily and wonderfully thick body.
Made from 100 % real Blood Oranges with no additives. Make a Charbay Blood Orange Cosmo using 1.5 oz Charbay Blood Orange / 1/2 oz cranberry juice / 1/2 oz Cointreau. Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, squeeze in a lime wedge and strain into a martini glass.
