If years away from showing anything remotely like elegance and most definitely not a wine that will win the hearts of those whose prize restraint above all else, this deep, fully realized youngster combines richness with lavish, blackcurrant fruit th... Connoisseurs Guide. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2009 Chappellet Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill 750ml
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill is a wine that should only be bought by the very patient. An infant today, the 2009 is all about promise and potential. The wine possesses stunning depth and concentration, with fabulous balance and tons of personality. The only thing it needs is time. This dark, brooding Cabernet Sauvignon is a lot to look forward to. The 2009 is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petite Verdot and 10% Malbec. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2034. Dark and saturated in color, this has earthy and meaty aromas like bloody, rare steak and charred bone-that sort of proteinous spirit. The actual fruit flavor is incredibly rich and concentrated in blackberries, black currants and crisp bacon. The impression is of a sweet, delicious Cabernet that's a touch warm in alcohol, but lush and refined. - S.H. A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2008 Chappellet Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill 750ml
This is a monster Cabernet, in the best sense. Comprised of all five Bordeaux varieties, itrsquo;s bone dry, enormously complex and firmly masculine, with very big, hard tannins. Concentration on the flavors shows layers of blackberries, black currants, blueberries, mocha, violets, sweet charred oak and a firm grounding of minerals. An outstanding wine from the Pritchard Hill region east of the Silverado Trail, but one that needs cellar time to resolve the tannins. Better after 2013, and should develop for many years after that.
The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill boasts glorious notes of flowers, blueberries, blackberries, boysenberries, plums and incense. Full-bodied and layered with tremendous depth as well as purity and that nobility of great Cabernet Sauvignon that very few regions in the world can achieve, this youngster, although approachable and seductive now, should evolve for 25ndash;30 more years. Statisticians may be interested in knowing that the Signature is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot, 1% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc. The Pritchard Hill is composed of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Verdot, 8% Malbec, 2% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc.
75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot, 10% Malbec. From its dark, incredibly saturated color to its intense aromas of baked blackberry, dark cherry, crème de cassis, plum and anise this wine is layered, rich and sophisticated. On the palate, notes of espresso, dark chocolate and toasted oak, support ripe fruit and spice flavors, with seamless, mouthcoating tannins adding power and longevity. Despite its epic nature, there is also a liveliness and radiance to this wine that gives it poise, precision and balance.
