Notes on the Chappellet Chardonnay Napa Valley 2005 : WINEMAKER NOTES: Ripe and forward on the nose, the wine displays enticing fresh fruit aromas of pineapple, tangerine and pear with a dash of lemon zest. Hints of creaminess, from malolactic fermentation, blend nicely with the oak notes of clove and nutmeg, producing a wine with layers of complexity. The palate is round and lush with concentrated fruit and a subtle layer of oak spice.
