Chapoutier Ermitage Cuvee de l'Oree 1998

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

The 1998 Ermitage Cuvee de l'Oree's explosive bouquet offers a liquid minerality, honeyed tropical fruits, peaches, and acacia flowers. Amazingly, the 100% new oak treatment has been totally absorbed.... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Marsanne wine from Rhone in France. 1998 Chapoutier Ermitage Cuvee de l'Oree 750ml

M. Chapoutier:
The name CHAPOUTIER is present in the Rhône Valley since 1808. In 1879, the distant ancestor Polydor CHAPOUTIER was the first to begin to buy vines, thus moving from the status of wine-grower of an estate to that of a viticulturist, a wine producer and a businessman. The pioneering spirit was already present in the family.
