Chanson Père et Fils Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Mouches 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Tasting Notes Bright gold color. Aromas of citrus fruit mixed with pear and fresh honey enhanced by a subtle minerality and a touch of vanilla. Well-structured and well-balanced, generous with a well-intregrated minerality and delicate oak note. Good persistence.

In the XIX the Chanson Family took control and the company continued to expand under the leadership of Alexis Chanson. The Chanson family already owned a large Domaine located across Beaune, Savigny les Beaune and Pernand Vergelesses which was added to the company’s assets, thus giving it a new dimension. Chanson survived the Phylloxera crisis and continued to increase the size of their holdings. Visits by appiontment. Read less

Approachable and enticing fruity nose. Nicely perfumed red fruit. Layered, complex and evolutionary on the palate. Very delicious! - Schreiner's Winers 7/9/10
