User Reviews for Chanson Pere & Fils Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Feves

Winemaker's Notes:

This wine is available for EN PRIMEUR purchase ONLY. With a history dating back to 1750, this fine Domaine was founded during the reign of Louis XV. When the Chanson family took full control in the 1800s, they already had substantial holdings in Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune and Pernand-Vergelesses, which they added to the business. Ownership of some of the top Premiers and Grands Crus vineyards in Burgundy remains a priority for the house. Their 45 hectare Domaine is managed by Gilles de Courcel and his experienced, dedicated team. Winemaker Jean-Pierre Confuron of the celebrated Vosne-Romanée dynasty continues to improve quality selection of fruit and the refurbished Bastion de l’Oratoire in Beaune is now home to a state of the art fermentation room as well as being the perfect environment for gentle maturation of their crus.Chablis Montée de Tonnerre shows pale gold and offers rich floral fragrances mixed with white pear and vanilla enhanced by a mineral note. It is both well-crafted and well-structured with a tight texture. Delicate oak note and well-shaped minerality combine to produce a fantastic Chablis with a long and refreshing finish. Try pairing this wine with rich foods, for example pâté, lobsters and poultry as well as many goat cheeses, with family or friends, you won't be diappointed.
