Channing Daughters White Blend the Hamptons Mosaico 2008
We are thrilled to release the next vintage of our delicious white wine Mosaico. Mosaico is an exotic field blend that comes from a complanted block in our Sylvanus vineyard on our estate in Bridgehampton. This is a dry white wine where all the varieties were grown, harvested, pressed and fermented together in a stainless steel tank (64%) and Slovenian and French oak barrels (36%). All the fruit was hand-picked and whole cluster-pressed, (except the Muscat which was fermented on its skins and blended back in).
Very clean taste, grassy.
PG, chard, gewurtz, muscat, tocai blend. Lemon parsley celery nose, with a low key mineral attack. Spiciness on the midpalate and finish
Blend of pinot grigio, chard, gewurs, sauv blanc, tocai, blaufrankisch - all from the same row of crop blended and this is how it grew, vinified in stain steel tanks and barrels. Aromatic, flowers, some rose and peach even a little lychee Perfumey rosey palate grassy, toasty on the finish
Fruity nose, bit the finish is completely floral. Lots of rose petals and earthy tones. Perfumy.
Grass and pear on the nose. Light and creamy with a smooth buttery finish.
A minerality component to this wine filled with citrus fruits including lemon and grapefruit as well as a tinge of melon, nice acidic balance, bright
