Domaine Chandon is one of the most recommended wineries in the Napa Valley, and the only one with its own 4-star restaurant. The winery established its reputation with sparkling wines, and in 1989, the winery began crafting still wines from the classic Champagne varietals Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
Nice sweet, approachable sparkler for those who don't like brut champagne. -Tasted at the winery 9/20/09
It's a bit indulgent and decadent and tad sweet, but I like it! -Tasted at Domaine Chandon 12/27/10
I had this at a sparkling wine dinner last night and thought it was quite good. Food-friendly.

External Reviews for Chandon Extra Dry Riche
Chandon Riche Extra Dry California: "Whatever ?extra-dry riche? means, this is a slightly sweet brut-style wine, with flavors of peach, raspberry and citrus. The bubbles are on the big size, but on the whole it?s a pleasant wine." 87 Points
Spice, sweet peach and baked cherry flavors have good concentrations, with a slightly earthy note. Drink now.
Floral, muscat and fruit cocktail aromas become rich and complex on the palate, showing a touch of sweetness and finishing with a clean, fresh aftertaste. Drink now.
It’s called extra dry, but it’s actually kind of sweet. Not too much, just enough to give a rich, honeyed edge to the strawberry, peach, nectarine and toast flavors.

Sweet and spicy, with a Muscat edge, yet enough acidity to keep it from being cloying. Shows off creamy black cherry and wild berry fruit. A delightful dessert-style wine. Drink now.
