One of the best Sauvignon Blancs I've had the pleasure of trying. The Chance Creek Redwood Valley '05 easily earns a spot in my top 10 for the varietal. This particular bottle puts the flavor of the grape forward - without being grassy or dry like many of it's New(er) World counterparts. The strong floral nose sets the tone, while the lively flavor follows through with a refreshing zing. Paired wonderfully well with a simple dinner of Indian fare, though this wine could entirely stand it's own ground.
