Wonderful lemon, apple and pear flavors. Some floral nose. While midpalate is lush, the finish is crisp. Very enjoyable!

Really lovely. Pale yellow color. Very floral nose with quince and lemon in the background. Medium bodied and just ever-so-slightly off-dry with dominant notes of apple, cream, citrus and wet stone. Delicious and a great value. Went beautifully with a creamy white bean and chorizo soup.

Second bottle even better than first. Still lots of mineral and blossom on the nose, with pure citrus essences, herbs, and stone on the palate. Perfectly situated on the cusp between dry and off dry. Perfect for Indian food.

A benchmark for the region, the Champalou Familys sec Vouvray is gorgeous with aromas of granny smith apple, honeydew, and elderflower. On the palate, the wine is plump and round, with bracing minerality and crisp acidity.

Winemaker Notes - The harvest is carried out at the cold temperature of the morning, and the grapes are directly pressed on arrival at the winery. Fermentation is carried out in stainless-steel tanks in our cellar. The wine is matured at cold temperature on its lees for eleven months before bottling. The freshness and and delicate aromas of the wine make it a perfect partner with grilled fish and white meats, shell-fish, roasted vegetables and oriental food. When young, this is also a first-rate aperitif wine.

A very expressive, stylish nose, of minerals with a touch of honey. Clean mineral and chalk character on the palate. Rounds out in the mouth, with a honey streak like the nose.

This is technically a dry Vouvray, but it has a hint of incredibly pleasing sweetness. The nose offers classic notes of raw honey, apple, and quince that carry through to the palate. Here is an extremely elegant example of Chenin Blanc that will be at home on its own and also at the table.

Didier and Catherine Champalou have been producing some of Vouvray’s most stunning wines since the 1980’s and this sparkling Chenin Blanc is no exception. It has honey, yellow fruit and a hint of toast that’s reminiscent of Champagne with a palate full of ripe fruit that ends completely dry.
