Editorial Reviews for Champagne Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Brut Yellow Label
With a slightly cheesy note on the nose that, along with the patissiere tones, recalls cheese Danish this offers good complexity with ample yellow fruit and floral tones. Classic Veuve on the palate, a touch sweet, soft, caressing and easy with plenty of yellow fruit in a somewhat simple package. 88pts
A good quality Champagne... but don't get caught in the marketing hype. Sometimes it can be extremely yeasty on the nose and palate. I prefer the French-market version, which you can find in magnums here in the US.
Acidic and fruity. Decent bubbles, but very soft.
Rather nutty and slighty yeasty nose. I'm not a real Champagne fan, but this is one of my favorites - not too much yeast and not too acidic. I like it.
Very nice brioche toast nose. Bright and lively dry fruits on the mouth, and green apple notes on the medium finish.
Crisp and bubbly...delicious!
This is a great Aperitif Champagne - not too rich and yeasty, but elegant, crisp and citrusy, wonderful with fried foods!
Good champagne, if you can find it at a good price. I wouldn't pay $42/bottle for it.

Lovely bouquet of fresh bread dough, chalk and vanilla. Ripe apple flavors laced with vanilla and pecan. Creamy finish with an enhancing note of autolysis. A full-bodied Champagne, this has been enriched by reserve wines to add depth and smoky lees intensity to its brisk, youthful elements. Its a satisfying Brut to serve with poached prawns. Hints of toast and biscuit accent lightly honeyed flavors of quince, apple blossom and peach in this fresh and balanced Champagne. There's a stony underpinning, with a smoke-tinged finish. Drink now through 2013. ** SOLD OUT **
Demi-Sec is blended largely from Pinot Noir with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier as well as reserve wines. The liqueur d'expdition (carefully prepared and dosed with 45 g per litre by our oenologists) gives it a sweeter yet still very fresh harmony. Demi-Sec is at its best when served with desserts. You could even serve it in a carafe not to decant it but to admire the colour and the delicate bubbles of this elegant wine.
No Specific Tasting Note Robert Parker. A Champagne Blend wine from Champagne in France. N.V. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Non Vintage Brut 750ml
A champagne House is eventually judged on the quality of its Brut non vintage. It is in the making of such a wine that the true Art of Champagne blending reveals itself. This is an art in which the House of Veuve Clicquot excels. Our Brut Yellow Label reflects the superb vineyards we own and the consistent nature of our House style. The predominance of Pinot Noir provides the structure that is so typically Clicquot, while a touch of Pinot Meunier rounds out the blend. Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse essential in a perfectly balanced wine.
The first sip delivers all the freshness and forcefulness so typical of Yellow Label with asymphony of fruit tastes following on. Here is a true member of the powerful Brut family, well structured, admirably vinous. The lingering aromas echo and re-echo, with each fruit or spice note distinct. Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label manages to reconcile two opposing factors - forcefulness and finesse - and to hold them in perfect balance. This consistent power to please makes it ideal as an aperitif, and perfect as the Champagne to enjoy with a meal.
