Champagne Tarlant Brut Oeuilly Rosé NV

Winemaker's Notes:

Eye: Yellow gilt robe, amber reflections, fine and crystal bubbles. Nose: Generous and powerful bouquet, wooded and gourmand notes (dried fruits, vanilla, toasted). Mouth: Superb mouth: unctuousness, complexity and fullness, soft honey notes in the palate; full, mature and vinous wine: a great ageing Champagne. Harvest: 1997-1996 Grapes: 50% Chardonnay 50% Pinot Noir Terroirs: Vineyard "Les Crayons" (chalk) Vinification: Vinification in 4-wines oak barrels. No malolactic fermentation. First fermentation by stirring of the lees. Stays in barrels until May. Bottling: May 1998 Disgorging: See date on rear label. Done by hand Dosage: 5,7 g/L

Earthy, mushroom, citrus and apple on the nose to start. Hazelnuts and marzipan showed lightly on palate with more light citrus. Very well balanced and in the end fun to drink. [NR]
