From Eric and Cindi Olof's beautiful Lake County site, this wine is brimming with fresh berries, spice and perfect acidity - all of which make it an absolutely perfect match with virtually any Italian fare as well as just about everything from the grill - from chicken to ribs to a juicy hamburger. This wine was recently included in the TOP 50 WINES OF THE YEAR by The wine Report Magazine, which also awarded it 90 points and described it as: "well-balanced... explosive red fruit flavors burst in the mouth..." The 2002 Barbera is ready to drink now, but will certainly be worthy of cellaring for 3-5 years.
