A rare and delicious dessert wine from Australia; what the Australians call a "sticky". Renowned critic Robert Parker noted, "Chambers Rosewood Vineyards makes my short list of greatest fortified wine producers. The winery was started in 1858 and continues to be owned by the Chambers family. Some of the material for these blends is over 100 years old." This Muscat has extraorinary layers of sweet flavors including maple, honey, orange, apricots and nuts. A tremendous bargain.
Medium amber in color, this Muscat boasts scents of berries, pineapple and raisin to go with flavors of honey and spice. It's a lush, sweet style, with less complexity than some, but great texture and length. - J.C.
Wine Advocate ReviewThe Muscat is even better than the Muscadelle (Tokay), offering a rose/amber color followed by notes of black tea. This sexy effort is the equivalent of liquid Viagra. This singular treasure from Australia should not be missed!
