Chamarre Jurancon Tradition 2003
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
Full nose of banana, mango and butterscotch, which continue on the palate and finish. Very ripe, and while viscous, it is not overly sweet, which adds to its appeal.
An excellent white dessert wine. Sweet but not cloying. Tropical fruit and pastry notes.
Pineapple, mango - very lush. Sweet, but not sickening or cloying. A very pleasant surprise. Looking forward to my next bottle - this time with a triple creme bleu cheese and a crusty baguette.
