The aromas and flavors feature white peach, golden delicious apples, vanilla and creme brulee. The palate is rich and concentrated with spice and toasted oak while fine natural acidity keeps the wine in balance.

Chalk Hill Estate Winery has a very unique terroir and climate, and when Fred Furth, founder of the winery, flew over the land in 1972, he knew that it had the potential to be a top-class vineyard. Chalk Hill Estate Winery is located in the Chalk Hill AVA, part of Sonoma County, and it is the only estate winery located within that AVA. The land itself borders the cooler Russian River Valley and the warmer Alexander Valley, meaning that the 1,400 acre vineyard has a wide range of soil types and a microclimate that is unique to the region. Lisa Bishop Forbes, Chalk Hill’s winemaker, has managed to take the varied grapes that the region produces and turn them into extremely successful wines, especially Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and the winery’s Estate Red. The nose offers peach, mango, Butterscotch Melon and lemon. The flavors add mango, passion fruit, and Musque to the mix. While this Sauvignon Blanc is ripe and powerful, it also possesses the ample structure and acidity to age.

Chalk Hill Estate is famous for their incredible Chardonnay that people can't ever seem to get enough of. Well, new owners The Foley Family have heard the cry and are responding. With access now to a wide selection of top quality vineyards throughout the region they've sourced premium Chardonnay grapes, all within the Sonoma Coast AVA for Chalk Hill's first Sonoma Coast Chard. Just like the estate wine they use barrel fermentation to bring richness and texture. 77% barrel fermented in 40% new French oak barrels with regular lees stirring, the wine is aged a total of 7 months in barrel. The bouquet shows tropical notes of guava and pineapple along with nectarine, golden delicious apple and pears. The palate is rich and full with flavors of butterscotch, tropical fruit, pears and then citrus notes with balancing acidity. The flavors linger on the finish. you'll surely be reminded of the Chalk Hill Estate when you taste it but you'll also be very pleasantly surprised by the price.

Light golden in color and displays expressive fruitaromas of yellow apple and tropical fruit complexed by toasty vanilla and creme brulee. The bouquet is pure and direct with guava, nectarine, golden delicious apple and pears. The palate is rich, full and citrusy with traces of butterscotch and vanilla in the finish. The fruit is reigned in by great acidity and has a persistent malty flavor.
