Chalk Hill Estate Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Bottled 2008
Aromas are varied and complex, featuring warm black raspberries, crme de cassis, violets, roasted herbs, and pipe tobacco. The palate delivers concentrated red fruits, dried cranberries and black plum leading to a more savory element of sage and black pepper. Textured yet silky, the wine finishes long and is enjoyable upon release, but will also age beautifully for the next 15+ years.
Tasted at snooth pop-up wine event in nyc. Lots of Berries and nice smooth wine. Expensive.
WOW! Big Boy! Deepest ruby I've seen a a long while in the glass. Wonderful nose of berrys. Not as fruit forward as I usually like on the palate....But a very big and opulent wine! If you like your blends BIG then this is righ up your ally. Great body and substance! Cheers!

Warm coffee and jam on the nose here, with blackcurrant on the palate and a structure that makes this wine a perfect candidate for the cellar. If you're going to drink this monster tonight, just make sure to air it out for a little while in a decanter first - then enjoy it with something meaty.
