Chakana Yaguareté Collection Cabernet Sauvignon Argentina Proviva S.r.l 2008
Our 2008 R Collection Field Blend is a complement to any occasion, whether it be a casual dinner at home or a more formal gathering with friends and family. Aromas of ripe red fruit and spice immediately capture your attention and entice you to taste. Flavors of tangy raspberries, fresh-picked blueberries, and ground white peppercorns explode in your mouth, with a delightfully rich profile from the front of the palate through the back. This full-bodied wine is well balanced with smooth, juicy tannins that make it an approachable, food-friendly wine.
Celebrating over 35 years of Napa Valley winemaking tradtion, Raymond Vineyards specializes in Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc.
Dark red, almost garnet, with large tears and long, very slender legs. The nose was full of fruit: raspberries, currants, raisins, cherries, pepper, and very vivid, clear notes of blueberry. Medium-full bodied, the wine was slightly sweet on the front of the palate with cherry and blueberry. It transfers smoothly to tart raspberry and wild blueberry on the mid-palate. The wine left a fruity, but slightly tannic finish. The tannins themselves are juicy and smooth, and the alcohol gives a slightly numbing effect on the tongue without dampening the palate or being noticeably hot. This wine was both intriguing and delicious.
Did not notice structure change just ok
Raymonds "R Collection" is a great value for the money. The Field Blend has a nice flavor and finish to it.
