I have been looking for Italian white wines that don't taste like water. The Ceretto Langhe Arneis Blang met that criteria. The slight sweetness was great with the grill figs with goat cheese wrapped in prociutto.

Winemaker's Notes:

Arneis is a native varietal which produces a very fruity wine with hints of pears and apples. Its fragrance and flavor are also enhanced by the small amount of CO2 kept from the fermentation, which also helps to make up for the variety's low acidity. Pairing suggestions: aperitif, fish, appetizers. Not yet reviewed; 2010 vintage rated 93 points by Wine & Spirits: Fresh scents of apple blossom honey and beeswax add to the almond richness of this arneis. It's as smooth as a round riverstone, clean and fragrant. The finish is distinctly Piedmontese in its earthiness; to match braised chicken or a rich fish stew.

<p>This 100% Arneis is a fruity wine featuring apple and pear characters. Recommended to pair with appetizers, fish, or to serve as an aperitif.&nbsp;</p>
