Grape variety 100% Sangiovese Brunello Growing Conditions Good rainfall during early summer prevented any water-stress during the hot season that followed. Perfect maturation with high sugar content and physiologically mature tannins. Method: In temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks Temperature: 27-30°C Length: 17 days Malolactic: 100% Length of barrel aging: 40 months Origin of barrel: 60 and 120 hl Slavonian oak casks Brix: 23.5 Alcohol content (%): 13.3 pH: 3.39 Extract (g/lt.): 27.4 Color Intensity: 785 Method of fining / collage: Egg white ACIDITY (g/lt.) Total: Malic: Volatile: 5.3 0.05 0.48 SO2 (mg/lt.) Total: Free: 91 226 Special comment by the wine maker: Deep, intense color. Rich bouquet of tar, chocolate, plums and truffles. Full bodied with firm tannins; appropriate for long aging.. Tasting Comments: A dark and intense color. The nose is rich and complex, combining different layers of dry fruit with tertiary compounds from bottle aging. A slightly aggressive tannic structure is beautifully enveloped in the big, fat body.
