Food Pairings for Cellers de Scala Dei Grenache Blend Priorat Cartoixa
Priorat intensity is on full display in this wine: raisins, black plums, chocolate, blackberries, and cassis. If there’s not a powerful set of toasty barrel notes to offset those fruits, the oak present is plenty vibrant too; vanilla, cinnamon, and even marshmallow add to the fun. This is rather soft by Priorat’s usual chewy standards, but it looses nothing in density and it’s not shy on the alcohols, just like its Priorat brethren.
